Join us for a relaxed 5km run around East Sheen led by Up and Running - no pressure, no egos, and no one left behind.


What to expect:

+ 5K run (conversational pace)

+ Meet at 6.30pm for bag drop at Core LDN

+ Inclusive, community-led run

+ Refreshments and snacks provided

+ Return to Core LDN for expert panel discussion


This run is designed to be social, supportive and accessible, whether you're easing back into running or simply want to start the year moving your body with good people.


The interactive panel discussion will bring together Dr George Bowes, Physio Laura Harmen, and run coach, Reka from Up and Running East Sheen. Our experts are coming together to discuss how you can avoid running injuries and run smarter.


Meet the experts:


Dr George Bownes - a highly experienced Musculoskeletal, Sport & Exercise Medicine Consultant who has worked extensively across the UK High Performance network to help optimise athletes health & performance enabling them to win numerous Trophies, Championships & Olympic Medals.


He has brought this experience to his private practice where he has a very collaborative multidisciplinary approach. He has founded Citius Health who focus on a pioneering approach to knee osteoarthritis combining a hydrogel injection of Arthosamid with focused rehabilitation. A keen runner himself he has completed countless marathons, ultras & multistage races.


Laura Harman - an expert in rehabilitation with over 15 years of physiotherapy experience, specialising in lower limb injuries with a passion for pelvic health. She takes a holistic approach, combining Pilates, strength and conditioning, and expert manual therapy to guide clients from injury to full fitness. With a particular focus on tendon and overuse injuries, Laura's passion for rehabilitation is fuelled by her own active lifestyle and love of sports, enabling her to deliver exceptional care and get clients back to doing what they love.


Reka - a runner since a young age has completed 15 marathons, achieving sub 3 marathons and taken on the challenge of 100km ultramarathons. Alongside performance, Reka's passion for running lies in connection, sharing miles and conversations through social runs. For the past 8 years Reka has been working with Up & Running as an Assistant Store Manger supporting and connecting with runners both on and off the road.
